Prostrate Cancer Symptoms
Prostate cancer is a tumor that is likely to spread within the body. It is consist of cells form the prostate gland. The tumor grows slowly and it remains kept to the gland for many years. During this duration, it creates little or no symptom at all and when the cancer advances, it spreads into the neighboring tissues outside of the prostate. This type of cancer can potentially spread through other parts of the body like the lungs, liver and bones.
The cause of prostate disease is not within the reach of the modern generation’s knowledge but they somehow pointed out some causes of cancer that may lead to development of prostate cancer. They say that cancer is somewhat related to Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH). Such factors include heredity, advancing age, hormonal factors and environmental disturbances such as chemicals, industrial products and toxins like cigarette smoke and alcohol. Prostate disease usually occurs on men that are 80 years and above.
Why do men are likely to have prostate disease? This is due to the fact that their male hormone, testosterone, is the one that triggers the growth of normal prostate tissue at the same time those cells that bring about prostate disease. This leads to the conclusion that, testosterone triggers the production and growth of prostate cancer for men. It will also imply that by decreasing the amount of this hormone, the growth of prostate disease is also inhibited.
Men will undergo changes in their urinary or sexual role that might well be the indication that prostate cancer is present within their system. Next is the radiation therapy wherein it eliminates or stops the growth of prostate cancer cells. Another way is the hormonal treatment where it aims to decrease the production of testosterone within the body or known as androgenic deprivation. There is the cryotherapy which freezes prostate cancer cells having them killed
